MAINTENANCE & TROUBLESHOOTING

Expert service

The preventive maintenance of equipment allows through regular monitoring of the devices, to ensure their proper functioning. This maintenance consists of a set of controls and tests, the main objective of which is to reduce the risk of failure of the equipment in operation in order to maintain its performance.

The objective

  • Extend the life of the devices,

  • Minimize the risks of failures in service,

  • Reduce downtime in case of overhaul or breakdown,

  • Optimize energy consumption,

  • Preserve spare parts,

  • Facilitate the working conditions of users,

  • Limit the malfunction.

Preventive maintenance

The preventive maintenance allows, within the framework of a maintenance contract, to check the good functioning of the device through a series of control operations. From the moment the device is put into service, our technicians can intervene on a regular basis in order to anticipate a malfunction. This type of maintenance is used in particular for equipment whose stoppage or malfunction would have consequences on the quality of service. As soon as a low or very low temperature device is put into service, it is necessary to ensure its good functioning, by regularly checking the following points :

  • Safety devices,

  • High and low temperature alarm reports,

  • Operating pressures of the first and second compression stages,

  • The temperatures of the first and second stage circuits: cascade exchanger temperature, compressor discharge temperature, tank inlet and outlet temperature,

  • The condition of the exchangers and dust filters,

  • Backup batteries,

  • Electronic circuits: cards (power, control and display),

  • etc.

Leakage control

Some leaks on refrigeration installations could have serious consequences on the conservation of heat-sensitive products. Therefore, as soon as a low and very low temperature appliance is put into service, and throughout its life cycle, it is necessary to check that it is perfectly leakproof. In accordance with the F-Gas regulation, companies and structures owning equipment equipped with a fluidic circuit charged with HFCs (hydrofluorocarbons) and HCFCs (hydrochlorofluorocarbons) must have the equipment inspected by a qualified company in order to ensure that the equipment is leakproof. The tightness is checked with a leak detector capable of detecting a leak of 5 grams per year of fluid. According to the indication given by the detector, a label is affixed on the device: blue sticker if the device is tight, and red sticker if the device is not tight. From now on, the frequencies of regulatory leakage checks are the following:

  • 5 to 50 tons Every year

  • From 50 to 500 tons Every 6 months per year

  • Over 500 tons Every 3 months per year

  • Since January 1st, 2020, the GWP (Global Warming Potential) limit must be less than 2500 on new commercial refrigerators and freezers.

Troubleshooting

In case of diagnosis of a breakdown or a malfunction of an appliance, we propose you a quote for the repair of the defective appliance, and this according to the following elements :

  • age and condition of the unit;

  • cost of repair compared to a new unit;

  • type of fluids used in the unit.

Our technicians will submit to you the observations and recommendations on the merits of such a repair and undertake to respond to requests in the interval between preventive maintenance visits. The objective is to remedy any incident disturbing the operation of the equipment and in particular: a breakdown or failure of any kind, but also a replacement of a part or an adjustment. For any request for an quote or for more information on the interventions of breakdown service, contact us.
